My story

Meet Triston, a super cute 2 month old neutered male lab/terrier mix puppy! This sweet chocolate colored boy is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. Triston was taken into rescue as an orphan when he was about 4 weeks old. Although not related to them, he has been raised with the Poet pups (Aussie shepherd mixes who are about the same age as him). He is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. He is medically up to date (age appropriate), and working on crate training and housebreaking. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
