My story

Meet August – a sweet and playful little girl whose name perfectly reflects the warmth and sunshine she brings to every day. August came to us from the shelter with her four siblings, and she has quickly stolen hearts with her affectionate nature and joyful personality. Curious and outgoing, she’s always ready to explore her world, make new friends, and shower her people with love. August thrives on attention and would do best with a family ready to give her the time, guidance, and patience that every young puppy needs. She’s still learning the basics—potty training, crate training, leash skills, and manners—but she’s eager to please and picks things up quickly with consistency and positive reinforcement. With her playful spirit, she’ll need daily exercise and enrichment to keep her happy and healthy, followed by plenty of snuggles to recharge. She would love a home with another friendly dog to show her the ropes, but she’ll also shine as the star of the show with a family who’s excited to continue her training and give her all the love she deserves. In return, August will bring endless joy, loyalty, and affection to her forever home. Born on July 25, 2025, August is currently being fostered in Texas and is ready to bring warmth, sweetness, and sunshine to her new family. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS, COLORADO, OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
