Meet Dowdy – a happy, strong boy with a big smile and an even bigger heart! Weighing in at 71 pounds, this lovable guy is dog friendly, house trained, and crate trained. Dowdy is full of playful energy and loves spending time with his people. He’d do best in a home with older kids who can handle his strength and enthusiasm, especially when he gets excited.Dowdy was found as a stray in a well-known dumping area in Dallas, left to fend for himself. Despite his rough start, he hasn’t let it dim his joyful spirit. He’s ready to leave the past behind and find a family who will love and care for him forever.Dowdy was born on July 16, 2022, and is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion, Dowdy is ready to bring joy and energy into your life.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
