My story

Hi there! I’m Sadie — a smart, strong, petite (just 35 lbs!) and sweet 2-year-old Pointer mix. I’m an e-list survivor who got a second chance at life, and I’m determined to spend it making my forever family laugh, smile, and stay active! I’m a joyful little athlete who loves long walks and runs, shredding my favorite toys, and—of course—peanut butter Kongs. 🌟 My Personality & Skills Kid-Approved: I love kids of all ages—from tiny newborns to teens. I have plenty of energy, but I'm gentle and respectful around babies. Wiggles & Cuddles Expert: Treat-catching? Check. Toy-fetching? Absolutely. Full-body tail wags and warm snuggles? That’s my specialty. Crate-Trained Queen: My crate is my cozy safe place. I sleep there at night and settle in nicely when left alone. Good House Manners: I’m potty trained, though I may have the occasional young-dogoops. I try really hard to be a good girl! 🐾 Important Adoption Notes Slow, Thoughtful Intros: I warm up beautifully, but I need slow and structured introductions to new people and dogs. Protective of “My Person”: In my previous foster home, I showed some resource guarding of my foster human. With guidance, consistency, and proper management, I can continue to learn healthy boundaries—but I’ll do best with adopters who understand this or are willing to work with a trainer. Adventure-Ready… with a Secure Leash! I’m great in the car, but my Pointer instincts mean I have a strong prey drive. If something moves, I want to chase it! A secure leash and harness are an absolute must. 🩺 Health & Basics I’m healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccines. I’m 35 lbs of happy energy wrapped in the cutest little body you’ve ever seen. ❤️ Why You’ll Love Me I was saved because someone believed I deserved a chance—and they were right. I’m loyal, playful, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s best friend. If you’re looking for an active, loving, fun-filled companion with a heart of gold, please consider adopting me. Let’s start our adventure together. Love, Sadie 🐶❤️

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sadie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
