My story

Looking for a cat who's past the kitten chaos but still knows how to have fun? Gavin might be your perfect match! This handsome guy is around 2 years old, which means he’s outgrown the stage of climbing your curtains, but not the part where he’ll make you laugh every day. Gavin was brought to us by a local grassroots rescue group who had been looking out for him and wanted to make sure he had a safe place to stay while he searched for his forever home. Since arriving at the shelter at the end of July, he has received the full VIP treatment to get him adoption-ready. He was treated for a common feline respiratory infection and while he was here, he also had a thorough dental exam, including a cleaning and a few extractions to make sure his smile was as charming as his personality. He’s feeling great now—and looking even better! Gavin is the best of both worlds: mature enough to be polite around the house, but still full of playful energy and curiosity. He’s an entertaining and engaging companion, always ready to bat at a toy, explore a new space, or curl up next to you after a fun session of play. He's social, confident and sure to keep you smiling. He’s been through a lot already and is so deserving of a cozy forever home. If you’re looking for a cat who will be your buddy, your entertainment and your heart-warmer, Gavin is ready to move in and make himself at home. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
