My story

DOB: June 5, 2023 Microchipped Hi, I’m Lillian! I’m a beautiful young torti with a gentle soul who’s been learning every day how wonderful life with humans can be. When I first arrived, I was very shy and unsure, but I’ve made huge strides in both trust and confidence — and I’m ready to keep growing in a forever home of my own. I’m not a lap cat (at least not yet!) and I don’t love being picked up, but I do love affection on my own terms. These days, I happily sleep on the bed at my foster parents’ feet, and I adore full-body rubs and scritches. I’ll stretch out and wriggle on the carpet while you give me pets, purring away in happiness. Playtime is one of my favorite ways to bond! I especially love soft pom balls and striped wand toys. Sometimes I’ll proudly carry a pom ball in my mouth to a new spot, then drop it as an invitation for you to play with me. I also like to follow my humans around the house, using my very unusual little voice to let them know I’m looking for them. I’m still shy around visitors and can be cautious if hands or feet move toward me too quickly, but I’ve become so much more comfortable with my foster family. When I’ve had enough pets, I’ll gently mouth your hand — not a bite, just my polite way of saying “I’m done for now.” I might do very well with another cat, and I would thrive in a calm and patient home where my people can continue helping me build confidence. This is the perfect time in my development for me to meet my forever human(s) — I’ve come such a long way, and with love, I know I’ll continue to blossom.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lilian, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
