My story

Jade is a 5-year-old, lovable pittie with a round shape that has earned her the affectionate nickname “hippo.” She’s a sturdy girl who could stand to lose a few pounds, but that doesn’t slow her down when it comes to enjoying life. This sweetheart is friendly with people and other dogs. While she hasn’t lived with cats, she didn’t seem reactive when she met one during intake, so she may do well with proper introductions. Jade is both potty trained and kennel trained, making her a wonderful companion who already knows the basics of home life. Her favorite activities include lounging on the couch, snuggling with her people, and showing off her silly “hippo zoomies” that are guaranteed to make you laugh. She’s equal parts goofy and gentle, with her soft snorts and velvet coat making her completely irresistible. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s just as happy enjoying a lazy day as she is bringing a little joy and humor into your home, Jade is the perfect match. She’s ready to find her forever family and waddle her way right into your heart. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee: $225 for all dogs and puppies.
