My story

Hi there! My name is officially Franz, but everyone calls me Buddy—that’s what my previous human called me, and it just feels right. I ended up in foster care because my person got sick and couldn’t take care of me anymore. I miss her, but I’m learning to love my new adventures.I’m a little older and a little slower these days, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve still got some spunk! I love toys, especially when they involve a good game of tug-of-war or a chase around the living room. After a bit of play, I’m all about curling up on the couch for a cozy nap.In my current foster home, I live with an older doggie sister and a human baby brother. I’m respectful of my sister’s space—even when she watches me finish my dinner like a hawk. I’m very tolerant of my baby brother’s antics. My foster mom makes sure we are both safe around each other and I really appreciate that.I’m looking for a forever home where I can be loved, get a little attention between naps, and maybe sneak in a few treats. I’m healthy overall, no medicines needed, though I do have some allergies. If you’re looking for a mellow, sweet companion with a playful streak and a heart full of love, I might just be your Buddy.
