River

My story

River’s story began in a storm drain along the Chicago River, where she was rescued and given a second chance. Now safe and cozy indoors, she is making the most of it. River is an independent girl who loves her naps in the cat tree, curled up on the bed, or tucked away in a bathroom drawer she discovered has a secret escape gap in the back. When she is awake, she will happily announce herself with meows, usually requesting food, treats, or just a little attention. At night, River turns into a cuddle bug, climbing up to make biscuits on the blankets or even your pillow. She melts for pets and will purr like a little engine when she is content. After her rough start, River is thriving -adorable, affectionate, and adoptable! Dog sociability: Possibly with proper slow introduction to cat-friendly dog! Cat sociability: Possibly with proper introduction! Kid sociability: Likely with proper introduction! Likes: Cozy spots to nap, mealtime and treats! Dislikes: Being disturbed from a nap The adoption fee is $100. All cats are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
