My story

At 9.5 pounds and not quite a year old, Nugget is a morkie with enough playful energy to fuel a whole playground. He loves to toss toys in the air like a majorette hosting his own halftime show, then zoom around the room in victory laps until its time to collapse into your arms. Cuddling is his true calling, and hell never turn down the chance to be held. When you put him back down, he'll either pout and stare at you until you pick him up again, or launch into another lap around the room looking for obstacles to hurtle.Unlike many of our dogs, Nugget doesnt have a history of homelessness, hunger, or hardship. He was surrendered by his previous owner simply because the older dogs in the home wouldnt accept him. Thats why this little guy shines with such a pure, happy-go-lucky morkie spirit spunky, silly, and ready to take in -- and take on -- the world.Nugget is still working on housebreaking, but hes already gotten the hang of crate time overnight and when left alone. He does sometimes cry a little when first put in, because hed much rather stay glued to his people, but he's getting more and more relaxed about crate time every day.He likes kids and would thrive in a family that appreciates both his silly streak and his snuggly side. He definitely needs energetic playmates, of either the small-dog or human variety. Maybe someday when he's all grown up, he'll be calmer and more chill, but for now, this little guy has 2 modes: Velcro or turbo. He's smart and a little sassy, and his preference is to be active rather than sitting around doing nothing. He's getting used to sleeping through the week during work hours and is going to be fine with it, as long as he gets PLENTY of fun and games in between. He's healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and on preventatives ready to go home.Nugget's pretty delicate and tiny, but giant in heart and personality. All he needs now is the right home where he can play and snuggle to his heart's content!
