My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet the lovely Stargirl, who is eagerly looking for her forever home! At 14 years old and just 5 pounds, she’s as small as she is sweet. Stargirl had a bit of a rough time—she was surrendered because she needed surgery for a bulging eye, which turned out to be a melanoma. Thankfully, the vet was able to remove it successfully, and now she’s back to her playful self, bursting with the energy of a pup half her age! This charming little lady loves to be spoiled and enjoys cozy cuddle sessions with her favorite person. She’s a great snuggle buddy, sleeping right next to her foster mom and making the most of all the comfy beds and blankets. Stargirl is friendly with other little dogs but would be just as happy as the only pet in the house. She’s leash trained and loves her walks around the neighborhood, plus she’s house-trained (though a little adjustment time may be needed). Stargirl also likes car rides and can’t get enough of her trips to Tim Hortons for a tasty timbit! She’s a happy little companion who loves her treats and turkey chewies. Bedtime is her favorite, as she gets to curl up close to her people, soaking up all the love. While she may guard her special treats from other dogs, she’s gentle and harmless, especially with just one tooth! Stargirl enjoys her small hard kibble but has a soft spot for moist dog food. This sweet girl would thrive in a home with kids aged 13 and older, as she’s quite petite. She also gets along well with cats! We know that welcoming a senior dog like Stargirl into your home takes a special heart, but we believe there’s someone out there who’s just waiting to give and receive unconditional love from a wonderful companion like her. Could that be you? Stargirl is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $150Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 31, 2025, 3:38 pm
