My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Copper Top is ready to find his new home!  Copper Top came to us from Texas where he and his brother McNally were surrendered to a shelter.  They are Chihuahua mixes, estimated to be about 2 years old and weigh 12 pounds.   Meet Copper and McNally (Mac)! These two adorable pups are not just twining in looks but also in personality. They love to stick close to their foster mom, following her around like little shadows. They will even squeeze in behind her on her chair while she works, always wanting to be near her. And when she steps outside, they’re right there by her side! Both boys love toys of all kinds, especially those with squeakers. We wonder if they ever had them before! Mac especially like to carry his favorite toy with him wherever he goes! They also enjoy playing with tennis balls, and we’re trying to teach them to play fetchbut they would rather just run with the ball. Copper and Mac are crate trained and are comfortable sharing a crate or enjoying their own space. They’ve made great strides in their house training, thanks to lots of positive reinforcement. Those tasty snacks really motivate them! Just keep in mind that they might need a little time to adjust to a new routine. In their foster home, they get to romp around in a fully fenced yard, where they love lounging in the sun. Since they aren’t leash trained yet, having a fenced yard is a must for their safety. They’re great with other dogs and love to cuddle, though they know how to stand their ground if a buddy gets a bit too rowdy! Copper and Mac may bark at the cats in their foster home, but their foster mom is working on this, and they’re making good progress. They thrive on affection and can’t get enough of being petted! If you’re searching for a joyful companion to share adventures with, Mac or Copper could be the perfect match for you!  We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security. Copper Top is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has had a ProHeart injection which takes care of his hw prevention for one year.  His adoption fee is $450Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 10, 2025, 8:23 am
