My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Copper Top is ready to find his new home!  Copper Top came to us from Texas where he and his brother McNally were surrendered to a shelter.  They are Jack Russell mixes, maybe with chihuahua, estimated to be about 2 years old and weigh 12 pounds.   Meet Copper Top, or just Copper for short—he's an absolute favorite at the foster home! This sweet little guy is the ultimate cuddle buddy, always eager to stay close to his foster mom. If you love getting showered with kisses, Copper is definitely the pup for you! He’ll bond with you in no time and quickly become your best friend. Copper is a playful little soul who adores toys! He could spend hours playing—but watch out! If it’s not nap time or sunbathing outside, he’ll be busy with a fun game of “catch me if you can” when the toys come out. Squeaky toys might not last long in his paws since they often end up destuffed, but we've found that Kong balls hold up well against his playful antics! He’s also crate trained and has just started to learn how to walk on a leash. He’s making great progress—especially since he had no experience with a leash when he first arrived. With lots of positive reinforcement, he’s improving with house training too! Just a heads up: there might be a little adjustment period as he learns the ins and outs of his new home, which may include some initial marking. A belly band can help with this, along with some encouragement. Copper absolutely loves people of all ages and is a true lap dog at heart. He just wants to be showered with love and affection, and it’s hard to resist his sweet face! With just the right balance of energy and chill vibes, he makes a fantastic companion. Copper is all set for new adventures with his forever family—could that be you? We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security. Copper Top is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has had a ProHeart injection which takes care of his hw prevention for one year.  His adoption fee is $450Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 22, 2025, 9:49 am
