My story

Austin is fostering in Henderson, KY Austin is a 3-year old, 46 pound, head-turning, beautiful male Australian shepherd.  He was turned into animal control as a stray where one of our volunteers happens to volunteer.  He had always been an outdoor dog, but that has all changed! Austin is an energetic Aussie and loves to fetch. He loves to play and spends hours playing with his foster sister. He gets along WONDERFULLY with other dogs, humans, or cats. Austin he is curious about cats., but has never been unpleasant to them.  After spending most of his life outside in his prior home, he has completely turned into a Velcro dog in his foster home and loves attention.  Austin is house trained, crate trained and has remarkable house manners for a dog that lived outside all his life.  Someone is truly going to be adopting an excellent dog. He is a very intelligent and eager to please whomever he meets. He just loves life and being an Aussie!   Austin is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.
