My story

This dapper, three-legged gentleman sports a stunning merle coat and light green eyes. Big Billy’s heart? Even bigger than his size! He craves head scratches, belly rubs, butt pats, and kisses—offering tail wags and slobbery smooches (with consent) in return. A master of the polite head nudge, he’s happiest snuggling by your side or resting his head on your lap for brow scratches. Crate-trained, housebroken, and a leash pro (with minor pulling we’re refining), Big Billy listens like a champ—knowing sit, stay, and wait. Found as a stray in February 2024 with a broken leg (likely hit by a car), he underwent amputation on April 16, 2024, and bounced back instantly. Now thriving on three legs, he’s building walk endurance but is otherwise a healthy, happy ham with no special needs. People? His favorite! He adores adults, kids (especially his foster’s 8-year-old), and strangers—flopping for belly rubs on sight. Small dogs and cats spark his curiosity, but his enthusiasm might overwhelm them. Laid-back and easy-going, he’d shine as your only dog or with canine pals.
