My story

    Meet Mellow Max – your new best buddy!   Hi there! I’m Mellow Max, a two-year-old Lab/Pit mix with maybe a dash of Beagle for extra flavor. At a perfect 50 pounds, I’m the total package: house-trained, crate-trained (though I don’t really need one), and already neutered. Basically, I’m low-maintenance and ready to roll.   Now let’s get to the fun stuff. I’m a friendly guy who loves people, kids, and other dogs. I may take a minute to warm up, but once I do, I’m all in,  no drama, no attitude. If I ever feel unsure, I just politely remove myself from the situation. My motto? “Keep it cool and keep it kind.”   I’ve never been around a cat, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t mind one. I’m a mellow guy, after all.   My hobbies include: • Going for walks and exploring the great outdoors • Hanging out by your side (I’m an expert sidekick) • Giving you the warmest welcome home • Being a certified love bug    I’m happy flying solo or sharing my home with other dogs, I’m flexible like that. My foster mom says I’m one of those once-in-a-lifetime kind of dogs: sweet, steady, and ready to be loved forever.   So, are you ready for a loyal companion who’s equal parts are mellow and marvelous?
