My story

Lily girl, is a special one, she came to us from our local animal care and control after being listed as a stray. How she ended up with no home, we may never know, but we know she is worth it. She is a timid girl but is so worth the wait when it comes to allowing her to become comfortable. Things to note about Lily so far: - She is doing well in crate training. She whines sometimes, but it never lasts long and she also enjoys rain sounds. - She is great on a leash. She focuses on her person, this is because she bonds hard but also because she is a bit nervous with new people. So her household should be comfortable being slower with her, especially men. - Because of her needing slower individuals so that she is able to gain confidence we are looking for a home without children. If a home with children is considered, it would be with children who are able to respect her boundaries. Lily is going to make a family very lucky. She loves and she loves hard. She will become your shadow. She will find confidence in herself with you. She just needs someone to give her the space to do so. Lily is being fostered in Chicago and is adoptable anywhere in or within 3 hours of Chicago. Her adoption fee includes her up to date vaccinations and prevention, spay, heartworm negative and microchip. If you have any questions before applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lily, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
