My story

Hello, my name is Charlie, like Charlie Chaplin! Don’t you love my super cool mustache?! Anyways, I’m really looking forward to making very best friends with my future family and furever home. Before that happens, I’d love to tell you a little about myself. I'm about 2 years old, and FULL of energy--nothing beats playing! So much so that I’ve heard others reminisce about their younger years. I love playing with everyone and everything: toys, people, other cats, even the doggies! I hear the words “cute” and “silly” all the time. Hopefully more cute though. I must also confess I can be a bit of a piggy; and sometimes if I’m not watched carefully I find myself eating out of other bowls, even the doggy’s, so a laid-back dog would be most ideal for my taste. Speaking of food and taste, I’m actually on a semi-strict diet due to my tummy really having issues when eating certain things. Right now, dry food is left out all day/night, but my meals are either “FreshPet” or “Fancy Feast”. I love when my foster mixes the FreshPet with one of those squeeze tube kitty treats! Mmmmh. Unfortunately the lower quality gravy foods really upset my belly. I am sometimes a little vocal, but usually only if there’s something I absolutely need help with. I really love finding places that are perched up high when I’m ready to relax or go to sleep. After being outside and homeless, I really enjoy being an inside cat; and although you should always be aware and alert, it’s not typical of me to try to run outside even if given a brief opportunity. I’m grateful to be indoors and have friends who care about me. I hope one day it’s family! ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be submitted online, or sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, or faxed to 919-300-5524. We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application. *** Thanks for thinking adoption! ***

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Charlie Chaplin, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
