Rowan Whitethorn

My story

Meet Rowan! He's 1 of 15 dogs that came into the shelter in early August as part of a neglect case. Rowan was starved and under-socialized, but through the care of staff and volunteers at CMHS, he is gaining confidence and trust in people again. Three square meals a day doesn’t hurt either! Rowan is very food-motivated and will happily sit for a treat. He has also been going out on day trips with volunteers to see the world and make friends. Here’s what one volunteer had to say- I spent the day with Rowan at work today. What a darling he is! He stayed right by my side the whole day, curling up by my feet while I worked. He did great with the other dogs and even played with them. He also totally ignored the cats! Every time we walked, he flopped on his back in the grass and wiggled around while I scratched his belly. And his blue eye is especially enchanting! He is going to make wonderful friend for a lucky person.
