Agave came to CVHS with a sibling several weeks ago as strays with a history of unknown origin. They’ve spent some extra time under our care while we monitored them for some special needs. Both kittens are suspected to have cerebellar hypoplasia (CH)—a condition that affects balance and coordination. What does that mean for Agave? Simply put, they might be a little wobbly on their feet or move in a way that looks different from other cats. But don’t be fooled—Agave doesn`t let that slow him down! He can mosey about, play, pounce, and enjoy life just like any other kitten. The CH appears to range from mild to moderate, and would benefit from an adopter who understands they may always be a little quirky in their movements. They don’t need to be adopted together, but each will thrive in a loving home where their unique needs are appreciated. They may do best in a home without lots of tall climbing spaces, but with plenty of soft landings, toys, and safe play areas, they’ll blossom. If you’ve got room in your heart for a kitten who sees the world a little differently, Splenda or Agave might be your perfect match!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Agave, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
