My story

Introducing Shasta Shasta came to us as an owner surrender after two years of trying to work with the owners to keep her and the chihuahuas in the yard. Finally able to get the owner to surrender her and the chichuahuas, Shasta has been adjusting to shelter life. As a dog who once lived a sheltered life on a chain tied to a trampoline and used to being an outside dog, Shasta is very sweet. While we are still learning about her here’s what we do know: -She’s great with people with slow introductions -She gets along with smaller dogs, she’s probably never been around a dog her size before, we believe she can get along with them with proper introductions or matches her energy level -She done surprisingly well for what was most likely her first bath-She’s doesn’t pull much on a leash, but we’re working on walking in straight lines -She’s very good motivated as she was underweight, but loves her slow feeder bowl Shasta is scheduled to go to Skiatook Paws & Claws Animal Rescue on Thursday Sept 4th to get spayed, microchipped, first round of shots, heart worm tested, and monthly preventions. Shasta would love to find her forever home soon. Due to her being a higher energy breed, they tend to deteriorate quicker in shelter environments. All of the chichuahuas that she was surrendered with have either been adopted or went on a transport out of state. When is Shasta’s second chance? Her adoption fee is WAIVED Please click the link below to apply to adopt or foster! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CACO/Dog #AdoptDontShop #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #huskylife #huskies #heterochromia #heterochromiaeyes #Available #savealife #saveadog
