My story

Footy (aka Footless Fred) August 25, 2025 by appointment only. Male DOB- 1/28/25 Gets along great with small dogs, adult cats, kittens, adults, teenagers and kids. Purina One Healthy Kitten Footy the bipod doesn't let anything hold him back Footy is a charming older kitten that finds his way easily into people's hearts. He experienced a birth injury where his umbilical cord wrapped around both of this back legs and cut off circulation and was brought to UC Davis vet emergency room. When he entered our foster care as a two day old kitten we were hoping at least one of his legs could be saved, but unfortunately the damage was so severe that he needed a double amputation surgery. Through all the healing, pain, vet visits and rehabilitation, he hasn't let his disability hold him back. He is an amazing resilient cat who can do everything a normal cat can do besides jump on the counters and will need an owner that pays special attention to maintaining the health of his remaining legs and spine. He also uses the litterbox well and likes to have ramps and steps so that he can more easily climb up and down on the furniture.. Footy loves a cushy donut bed to make biscuits on, a variety of toys and a companion willing to play with him. He has been the ambassador of all people and pets in his foster home making friends with their small dog, adult cats and foster kittens.
