My story

WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! My name is Iris. ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am such a cute little girl! HOW OLD ARE YOU? We think I was born around the middle of 2023. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French bulldog! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am 25 pounds of pure cute! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a gorgeous dark brindle coat and the most expressive little face. My huge smile is contagious. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love beef liver treats. (Who doesn’t, right?) I also love my kibble for my meals. As a special treat, I really enjoy scrambled eggs. Yum! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am the most playful little girl! But I am also super cuddly and love to crawl into my human’s arms for snuggles. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Did I mention that I love to play? My perfect day would involve LOTS of playtime, plenty of snacks, and some quality couch cuddles to top it all off. Sounds amazing, right? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love my chew toys so much! They keep me entertained any time my dog friends need a break from our fun. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? My best trick is making people smile, melting hearts, and causing instant happiness for everyone I meet. Pretty magical, huh? WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m not really scared of anything. I am so brave that I bark at fireworks instead of being afraid of the booms! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have been around my foster mom’s 5-year old grandson and I absolutely love him! Children are fun, and I’m all about fun! DO YOU LIKE CATS? Cats are alright. There is a cat at my foster home. We aren’t exactly friends, but I don’t have a problem with her. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I get along with all the resident dogs in my foster home, large and small! We have lots of fun playing all day. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I would love to go on an adventure with my humans, either taking a car ride or a fun walk to get some sniffs in. Or, just as amazing, let’s just have a cozy cuddle on the couch! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m in really good health. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, three resident dogs, a resident cat, and another foster dog too! My closest companions are the two resident Frenchies. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I chill in my comfy crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I get my beauty sleep in my crate. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walking on a leash. I am very well-behaved and really enjoy exploring all the smells and sights. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I get super excited when it’s time to eat, so I am working on calming down a little bit before I get to eat my food. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am house trained! There is a doggy door at my foster home, and I’m a pro at taking myself out when it’s time to potty! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I drink it, obviously, but that’s about where the affection for water ends. I am a Frenchie, so it is not the best idea for me to participate in water activities. Please keep me safe! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I am safe and loved, which is obviously the most important thing for me. I love my foster siblings who have shown me how fun it is to be a dog! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I don’t remember too much of it. I had some medical stuff going on and I ended up in a shelter feeling crummy. But then NorCal Bully Breed Rescue got me out of that place and helped me feel better. Now I am healthy and ready to find my forever home! Maybe I can come home with you? **IRIS’s ADOPTION FEE IS $1,500** If you are interested in adopting Iris, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County).
