My story

WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! My name is Carly. ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am the most darling little girl! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am seven years young! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I weigh 25 pounds. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I look perfect, quite frankly. My shiny coat is chocolate and tan, with a sprinkling of sugar on my muzzle. I have a big happy smile that will melt your heart every time you see me. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibble, but my super favorite treats are beef liver. Yum yum! Oh, and I also love scrambled eggs for a special breakfast indulgence. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a little bundle of cuteness and so much fun! I love to play with toys and am always looking for cuddles when I am not occupied with a toy. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day is going for a car ride. I also love having human visitors come over to the house to shower me with attention and all the “oh my gosh, you’re so cute” comments. That makes me so happy! Then my day would end with cuddles next to my human. Oh this sounds like a great day! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love all stuffed animals. I also love playing fetch with any ball that you want me to chase. So fun! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? My best trick is when I play with my stuffed animals by tossing them up in the air and then running after them. Cool, huh? WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m not really scared of anything, even fireworks! I just barked at them because they were loud, but they didn’t worry me. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I love my foster mom’s five year old grandson so much! He gives me lots of attention and we have fun together. DO YOU LIKE CATS? Oh, no thank you. I will pass. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I am comfortable with dogs that have a calm personality that won’t pester me too much. I would also be just as happy to be the only dog in the house to have my own space and get all the attention (and treats and toys and belly rubs) to myself! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? My favorite place is in my human’s arms getting lots of cuddles, and my second favorite is out and about on long walks exploring all the interesting sights and smells. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? My health is fantastic! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I currently live with my foster mom, her resident dogs, and another foster Frenchie. My foster mom is my favorite person because she has kept me safe and cuddles with me, feeds me, and gives me toys to play with. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I stay in my comfortable crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walking on a leash. I love going out on adventures around the neighborhood. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I am working on calmer greetings. It’s just exciting to see new dogs or people, y’know? Once I get used to being in a home where I am part of the family, I will get used to calmer greetings, though. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I’m fully potty trained. I have never had an accident in my foster home. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love playing with water from the hose! But I am a Frenchie, and that means I should be kept safe from pools and other bodies of water. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that I get lots of attention, have toys to play with, and that I get to go on my neighborhood excursions, also known as walks. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was used for breeding over and over. It was not the life I was meant for, and after I was saved by NorCal Bully Breed Rescue, I am finally done with all that. Now I will get to be a loving companion and member of the family, and I just can’t wait to get started on this next stage of my fabulous new life!
