My story

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION BROWNIE is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas.. the adoption fee includes the transport There is an application on www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org Brownie is approximately 5 months old as of Aug 15/2025 and weights 10 lbs.. he is underweight and needs to put on a few lbs.. he should be in the 20-25 lb range when fully grown. He is a sweet little boy, but does have a typical high pitched schnauzer bark.. He loves to run and play but can be scared of big dogs or dogs that get in his face. He loves people and would like a nice fully fenced in and secure yard to play in and would do well as an only dog or with a laid back buddy or 2. He seems to be pretty well house trained but not perfect and will need leash/harness training OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years.. The total adoption fee of $500 ( and includes the transport, required spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org
