My story

Major cutie alert!! Major is a senior spaniel, he has a distinguished black coat with silvery salt and pepper sprinkles. He's around 12 years old and 22 lbs. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. Read Major's full profile and submit an adoption application: https://www.fawnssmalldogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs/major Major's highlights: Major is a laid back gentleman. Like many Spaniels before him, he enjoys the finer things in life such as sleeping in the bed and regular exercise, as you'd expect from a Major. Like any good Major, this gentleman is here to supervise the goings on of the household. In his ideal home, his humans would be around most of the day. He'd do best with with adults, he is a friendly gentleman and would do fine with a family that has respectful dog-savvy older kids and teens. Major does well with other dogs with appropriate introductions and he ignores the resident cat. He's head over heels for his foster sister, Bella, also a Fawn's foster. While not required, he'd certainly adore if they were adopted together. He does best with at least one other calm dog in the home, preferably female. Having a doggie friend reduces his anxiety and he loves having a walking buddy! Major is doing great with house and potty training. He does best with a regular schedule for going out to go potty. He's good with holding his potty overnight, especially if he's in the big bed. Major's ideal home has at least one similarly sized, or smaller, doggie companion, preferably a calmer female. He'd like humans who are home often, this will help continue his potty training success. He'd do well with respectful, dog-savvy older kids and teens. Major walks great on a leash, he doesn't require a yard, though he enjoys having one. He ignores cats and would be fine with a feline companion.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Major, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
