My story

Meet Maddy. She was rescued from a shelter in KY who was full.  A beauty. We were told Maddy is good with dogs, cats and kids. We can attest that she is dog friendly but plays hard and some dogs might not like that. If there is another dog in the home, it should match her energy. She would do fine as an only dog but will need consistent exercise. She would do great at agility. We do prefer a home experienced with her breed.  Maddy also appears to be house broken and rides great in the car.  She is a purebred Australian Shepherd and is maybe between 1 and 2 years old.  Her weight is around 45-50 lbs. Maddy will be spayed on 10/1 and receive the balance of her vetting then. She did test positive for Ehrlichia and is on a 30 day course of doxycycline. She is not symptomatic and no further care will be required. As always, we prefer a fenced yard but that is negotiable to the right home. Adoption fee is $250. If interested in Maddy, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.August 24, 2025, 5:27 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt MADDY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
