My story

Say hello to Indie – a bouncy, happy puppy with a heart of gold and paws that promise to grow big! At 4 months old, Indie is still small, but she’s expected to reach around 80 pounds when full grown – the perfect size for extra-big cuddles and adventures.Indie is full of life and puppy charm. She loves stuffies, car rides, and will play a solid game of fetch (when she feels like it, of course). She’s great with dogs of all sizes, friendly with cats, and absolutely adores being around people – her favorite place is right by your side.She’s still mastering her potty training, but she’s improving every day and eager to learn. With a little patience and a lot of love, Indie will make a loyal, loving companion for a family ready for a larger breed dog with a playful spirit.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. The best way to get in touch with us is by email: info@secondchancespca.org. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $250 for puppies under 6 months of age and $200 for dogs older than 6 months. $150 for kittens under 6 months of age and $125 for cats older than 6 months.
