Diamond

My story

If you meet Diamond at our shelter, you'll see a cat who seems standoffish and doesn't seem to want to interact. She'll play with you if you wave a wand toy in her direction, but she may not let you pet her or pick her up. In her previous home, we know Diamond enjoyed snuggling with her favorite person and would play with another nice cat. We think Diamond will revert to this behavior once she feels safe in a home, but we can tell that the shelter causes her stress.Diamond would be a good companion cat to someone who wants a low maintenance pet. She can entertain herself, so you can leave her home by herself for several hours. She'd probably prefer to be a solo cat but with a proper introduction she may adjust to another cat or a friendly dog. Diamond prefers adults but older kids might be okay.
