It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! KEVIN RYAN and his siblings (KATE BECKETT -ALEXIS CASTLE - RICHARD CASTLE - JAVIER ESPOSITO) were saved by a sweet man that takes care of his cats in his neighborhood in Hemet, California. We named them all after the show CASTLE. And lets introduce you to him. KEVIN RYAN: A Regal Spirit Seeking a Patient Heart With a name as distinguished as his looks, KEVIN RYAN is an undeniably striking cat with a beautiful black and white "harlequin cap-and-saddle" pattern adorning his face, making him truly one of a kind. This handsome boy was rescued from the streets, and while his journey has been a challenging one, he's made incredible progress and is now ready for a loving, understanding forever home where he can continue to blossom. A True Connoisseur with a Playful Side: One of KEVIN RYAN's greatest joys in life is his wet food – he absolutely adores it! Providing him with delicious, high-quality meals is sure to be a wonderful way to connect with this discerning gentleman. When not indulging in a gourmet treat, KEVIN RYAN is a lover of playtime. He delights in chasing toys and engaging in playful tussles, especially with a feline friend. He truly enjoys the company of other cats and would thrive in a home with another friendly feline who's up for some playful wrestling matches. Learning to Trust, One Step at a Time: Having come from a difficult past, KEVIN RYAN has learned to navigate the world with a bit of caution. He's comfortable with the presence of humans, often enjoying being in the same room as his people, soaking up the warmth of companionship. However, he's still learning to trust physical affection and isn't comfortable with being touched just yet. He'll need a patient adopter who understands his boundaries and is willing to let him initiate contact when he feels safe and ready. KEVIN RYAN is an DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / HARLEQUIN MIX. He is about 1 year 4 months old. KEVIN RYAN is good with cats. In his foster home, he was around other kittens and older cats. He has never been around children or dogs. KEVIN RYAN is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** AUGUST 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties at foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. +++++ PLEASE NOTE: We only have cats in Murrieta and City of Industry +++++ PETSMART in City of Industry, California off Colima Road in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************ If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
