About 4 months old | Female | Lab Mix (best guess) Fostered on a farm in Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue Sierra made it out of the shelter and is now living her best puppy life! Part of the Mountain Litter — a group of 10 Lab mix pups rescued from a kill shelter in Georgia — Sierra arrived in Wisconsin on 9/6 and has been thriving in her foster home ever since. Now about 4 months old, Sierra is being fostered on a beautiful farm in Cedarburg, where she’s doing incredibly well. She’s off-leash full time and already has a decent recall — impressive for such a young pup! She does wonderfully around: Horses Cats Dogs of all sizes and ages Sierra is playful, social, and full of energy, but she also loves to cuddle and settle in after a fun day outside. She sleeps through the night in bed with her foster and is adapting to farm life like a natural. Like all puppies, she’s still working on: Potty training Crate training Leash manners But she’s smart, eager to please, and picking things up quickly. With the right mix of love, patience, and structure, Sierra is sure to grow into an amazing lifelong companion. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
