My story

Jake is an 11 1/2-year-old, 33lb dog with a heart of gold!Don’t let the silver muzzle fool you—Jake may be a senior, but his heart (and tail!) are as lively as ever. This gentle soul is the perfect mix of mellow and playful. He loves short walks where he can sniff every flower, playtime with his favorite toys, and of course, plenty of snuggle time with his people.Jake is all about companionship. He`s happiest when he`s by your side, whether you`re enjoying a quiet afternoon at home or heading out for a little adventure. He`s got the wisdom of his years and the spirit of a pup—making him the perfect best friend for someone who values loyalty, love, and a little bit of fun.Jake shared his foster home with four large dogs and did well with introductions and engagement. He also does well when meeting other dogs at the shelter and in his foster home neighborhood on walks. Jake can be shy when meeting new people and often barks until he feels safe with new friends. But, once you are in his circle, he is the most dedicated companion. This low-maintenance guy is sweet, house-trained, knows how to use pet steps to access approved furniture, and is also the best travel buddy in the car.Ready to add a sweet, loving presence to your life?
