Meet Santiago — A Gentle Soul Looking for a Lap to Call Home Santiago is an 8-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua mix with a tender heart and a quiet spirit. The shelter environment makes him a little nervous—he shakes in his kennel—but once in your arms, he melts into the sweetest, most loving companion. This easygoing boy loves nothing more than sitting in your lap, enjoying gentle company, and taking life at a slow pace. He’s quiet, keeps a tidy kennel, and is happiest simply hanging out by your side. Treats are one of his favorite things, and winning him over is easy with a little snack and a lot of love. Santiago doesn’t ask for much—just a calm, caring home where he can feel safe, cherished, and close to his person. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will happily keep you company and shower you with quiet affection, Santiago is waiting to meet you. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
