My story

Meet Jet Older Labrador | Easy-going | Loves Walks & Cuddles Jet is a gentle, older Lab with a big heart and a calm demeanor. He has pretty severe hip dysplasia, so he's great for short walks. He’s very well-mannered in the home—no destructive habits, even when anxious—and has learned to use the doggie door to potty outside on his own. From day one, he's made it clear when he needs to go out. He was recently neutered and may still try to mark indoors, but two days with a belly band and he was good to go. Jet loves being near his human and might try to follow, sometimes bumping into small children in the process—never aggressive, just eager to be close. He's very gentle with small dogs, even tolerating our little one licking his food dish, though he prefers larger dogs give him space at mealtime. Medication tip: Jet is clever and won’t take medicine unless it's hidden in human food. We’ve had success using skinless hot dogs—give him one without meds first, then sneak the medicine in the next piece. He’s great on a leash, adores walks, and loves to play with our 37-pound female dog. He mostly ignores bigger dogs. When he's had his exercise, he’s happy to rest and relax. Jet would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time and would make a loyal, low-maintenance companion for anyone willing to love an older pup who still has so much love to give.
