My story

**About Emma:** Thank you for interested in adopting Emma. Please know that Emma is an international rescue through Taiwan. When your application is approved, you will need to pick her up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Emma was rescued when she was one month old. At that time, Emma’s dog mom Ruby was licking two puppies who were lying on the ground, motionless. The rescuer noticed that the two puppies had stopped breathing and Ruby was trying to wake them up. It seemed that the puppies had recently been in a car accident, and were found sitting quietly on the side of a busy road. One small puppy, Emma, was sitting quietly next to Ruby, not running around. The rescuer was worried about the safety of the mother and daughter, and noticed that the area they were in had little food to eat. Both the mother and daughter were very thin and weak. The rescuer couldn’t bear to leave them, so they took them into their car and took the two little angels home. Ruby was very gentle and friendly, and her good nature was undoubtedly inherited by her daughter Emma. Even though Emma was just a puppy, she radiated a mature and calm aura. When you are indoors or in a restaurant, Emma is calm and even-tempered, and when you take Emma for outdoor activities, she is lively and energetic. Emma’s friendly nature extends to young children as well. Her rescuer is a kindergarten teacher, and Emma often goes to school with her rescuer. Emma is quite relaxed and comfortable in the presence of many children, even playing with them, getting along very well. Emma also gets along well with dogs and cats. Whether it is a family with pets or a family where Emma is the only pet, she would do just fine. Emma experienced a bit of carsickness. She threw up a few times before, but hasn’t done that in a while, though she still drools. Emma’s friendly and easygoing personality is absolutely suitable for families who are raising a dog for the first time. However, as a gentle reminder, a dog's personality may change depending on the way they are treated/cared for by their caregivers, regardless of their age. Emma is ready for a home, waiting for a family who is willing to take on the lifelong commitment of loving for her. If you want to know more or are interested in adopting Emma, please contact us at any time.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Emma, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
