My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.A volunteer writes: Sasha's a bit of an overthinker and, as one myself, I'm inclined to catalogue the benefits with her. The first one being that Sasha carefully considers each situation before planning a course of action. This can mean building a friendship takes longer but it also means that she'll be sure of her decision. Well, kind of... Sasha's a kitty who changes her mind, which I can also get behind. She was napping in her cubby when I visited and reached out to knead as she stretched her paws. I could see Sasha's ideas about introductions float past just as clearly as I saw when she decided we weren't quite there yet. Sasha's made progress, however, and has been coming forward to say hello more and more. She was brought to us by the police and though we don't know too much about Sasha's life before, we know that a brighter future is just ahead.
