Flora

My story

Lean, sleek, fast and gentle - this is Flora! She was born in October 2025 to a mum who was living on the street being fed by a kind samaritan. Flora and her litter were taken into shelter where she spent her early life. Flora is now in foster in rural Duncan on Vancouver island. She weighs 42 lbs and we think she's a lab whippet. Flora is living with a dog and 4 cats and LOVES them all. She is very gentle with other animals. She can be timid at first around some strange dogs, but she was a favourite playmate for most dogs at the shelter as she was always kind. Flora thrives in her outdoor space and loves the quiet trails around her home, and has been great on car rides, including exploring other parts of Vancouver island. Flora is smart and despite an early life in shelter, she never had one accident in the house. Flora is newly exploring the bigger world and she likes to go slow, and she prefers a quiet setting and a quiet home. She is timid with strangers, so we think she'd prefer a quiet home with no kids, and her ideal is a rural setting with lots of opportunity to get fresh air. Flora is healthy, spayed and vaccinated.
