My story

                                                                             KENNEL ID #18804 Cookie is a bright young lady who came up from Tennessee on August 12th. She went straight into a home, but her adopter quickly realized she would not be happy in their home and want her to have a young active family. This girl is 100% house-trained and incredibly smart — think Border Collie–level intelligence. Cookie learns quickly, loves to stay busy, and will thrive with someone who enjoys training, play, and keeping her mind engaged. She’s sweet, loyal, and ready to bond with her forever family. If you’re looking for a smart, active companion who’s already house-trained and eager to please, Cookie might just be your perfect match! Cookie and her brother Sidney were rescued from a high-intake shelter in Greene County, TN, where overcrowding forces heartbreaking decisions every day. Some were strays never reclaimed. Others were surrendered by their families — and sadly, owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized, as they receive no legal hold. Thankfully, our rescue partner in Tennessee stepped in just in time, saving 15 incredible dogs from the “last call” list. Each has now received full veterinary care and is preparing for a fresh start in PA. Despite their past, these dogs are full of hope and heart. Could this survivor be your new best friend?
