My story

Kevin Barkin (AKA Kevin Bacon) is ready to dance his way into your heart and star in the story of your forever friendship! This 3-month-old, 8.5 lb Dachshund mix was rescued from Taft along with his sister. The owner told us she needed them gone ASAP because of her landlord. We’re not sure if it was an accidental litter or a failed breeding attempt, but both pups were in bad shape, covered in ticks, smelling awful, and clearly in need of love and care. Thankfully, our rescue team stepped in. After some much-needed baths, flea/tick treatment and vaccinations, Kevin is much more comfortable. Now in foster care, he’s thriving: sweet, curious, and soaking up every bit of affection he can get. Kevin is playful and sweet. Whether he’s chasing toys or cuddling up for nap time, this little guy is ready for a home that will help him grow up happy and loved.
