My story

Meet Finn: The Resilient, Goofy, and Loving Boy Looking for His Forever Family Finn’s journey to this point has been one of survival, resilience, and, most of all, a deep desire for love. When he was just a puppy, he was found as a stray, weak from malnourishment and needing immediate care. Sadly, the shelter quickly realized that they couldn't give him the help he needed, and he was placed on the dreaded list. Fortunately, a rescue group stepped in, but Finn’s journey didn’t get any easier. He was shuffled from boarding facility to boarding facility, and when the rescue group shut down, Finn was abandoned along with many other dogs. We may never know the full extent of what Finn experienced in those early years, but one thing is crystal clear: he is a survivor. His past, though filled with hardship and uncertainty, has not broken his spirit. He’s become the dog he was always meant to be—joyful, playful, and endlessly loving. Today, Finn is a goofy, silly, and full-of-life three-year-old who’s finally getting to be the puppy he was always meant to be. He is absolutely amazed by the simple joys of life—like discovering the world outside! He has a boundless energy that will have him sprinting from one end of the yard to the other, leaping, jumping, and frolicking as if every day is his first day to play. Water? Splashing around is his favorite hobby, and if you take him for a walk, he’ll zoom around like he’s just been given a new lease on life. Training has brought out the best in him, and Finn is eager to please. He knows all the basic commands and does them with such enthusiasm that you can’t help but smile. He’s been through a lot, but his love for people is unwavering. Finn has been waiting for a family of his own for so long, and he shows it every time someone comes to visit. He’ll greet you with such excitement, you might get knocked over by his signature body slam! Finn loves to cuddle on the couch, curl up by your side, and soak up all the love he’s been missing. His favorite moments are when someone gently rubs his belly, or when he can just be near the people he’s come to trust. His heart is big, and he has so much love to give. He’s ready to share it with a family who will give him the safety, joy, and forever home he truly deserves. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and be your loving companion through thick and thin, Finn might be the one for you. He’s not just a survivor—he’s a dog who’s finally ready to live his best life. Would you be the one to show him that love, joy, and stability are here to stay? Finn is waiting to find his place in your heart and home.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Finn, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
