My story

Hi there, I’m Jasmine! I’m Jasmine, but my mom calls me Jaz or Jazy Girl.  I turn 16 in October!  I may have a lot of mileage, but don't let that fool you; I'm very spry & have a lot of pep in my step!   I'm a miniature doxie weighing in at just under 10 lbs.  My hair is smooth, black&#226&#128&#145and&#226&#128&#145tan, with wisdom highlights on my face.  At my age I enjoy a simple, quiet life & am not a big barker.  My hobbies include napping in my cozy bed & eating; I am a purebred dachshund & eating is what we excel at.  My eyes aren't as good as they used to be, but I still am able to follow my foster mom & dad around the house just fine & if a piece of food happens to fall on the floor near me, I'm able find it!  I’m house&#226&#128&#145trained as long as I'm taken out on a regular basis & also crate&#226&#128&#145trained. I ride well in the car & like my fenced backyard, but will also walk on a leash like the princess I am.  I get along well with the other small dog here and all adults; not sure about big dogs or cats though.  I'm a little uneasy about cuddling but am slowly learning to trust foster mom & dad enough to sit with them on the couch, so I just need a little patience with my new family. I am spayed, up-to-date on my shots, microchipped & just had a dental.  The vet says I am in tip top shape for a mature ole lady, so I'm ready to meet my forever family & happy ending.  My ideal new family will be home with me most of the time without young children running around which scare me.  If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle soul who’s mastered chill, I’d love to meet you soon! If you know that I am your forever pup, please fill out an adoption application at https://daretorescue.org/adoption-application. Don't forget to put my NAME on your application! If you cannot adopt me but would like to help DARE pay for my care before I am adopted by my forever family, donate online at https://daretorescue.org/donation or send a check made payable to DARE to:DAREPO Box 21161Tampa, FL 32210     Even if you do not see a dog that matches what you're looking for, you may fill out a no obligation application at https://daretorescue.org/adoption-application and we will work to find a match for you. We receive dogs into foster care frequently, so it is impossible to have every available or soon-to-be-available dog on the website.September 23, 2025, 12:30 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jasmine, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
