My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fred currently weighs in at a solid 22 lbs. He's is a great eater, isn't food aggressive and doesn't seem to have any GI issues. He loves his morning greenie and afternoon treats. Fred is completely house trained and likes to go on walks but he does pull a bit when he is on the trail of a good scent. He was abused by his previous owner which is so sad because he is just as sweet as can be. Fred is still pretty timid when it comes to new people and even some he knows quite well. He often cowers and tucks his tail under until you come and sit down next to him and start giving him good belly rubs. We've yet to see him show any type of aggression towards a person or another dog and we aren't sure how he'd do with children though I imagine he'd be fine.    Fred loves to run around in the back yard and chase lizards. He gets the zoomies often and he'll just run and run around the perimeter of the privacy fence until he wears himself out. He loves the dog park and prefers to be in with the big dogs since they seem to like to run full speed and chase each other around a bit more than the little dogs do. The worst part of a trip to the dog park is that he does get car sick. Easy fix, just bring a towel to catch his drool.    Fred does have a bad habit of chewing. We have been working with him but he still seems to find a way to get ahold of things he shouldn't and chew them to pieces. He's got chew toys and tug-of-war ropes he loves to play with but he has yet to kick his chewing habit so we just have to do our best to keep things out of his reach and crate him when we can't pay full attention to him.    Fred will be a great addition to a loving home that can keep him active and entertained. He is currently being fostered in a home that doesn't have any other animals but I think he might so great in a home with another dog to play with. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 29, 2025, 1:47 pm
