My story

Meet Blackbird, a gentle yet energetic 5-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix with soulful eyes and a beautiful black and tan coat. She’s currently underweight at around 40 lbs, but thanks to her healthy appetite and active nature, she’s steadily gaining strength. Blackbird has a lively spirit—she loves to move, explore, and sniff everything along the way. Despite her energy, she’s sweet and affectionate, always happy to soak up attention from people. She’s also been non-reactive to other dogs in the shelter, showing promise for a smooth transition into a multi-dog home. With a little care and lots of love, Blackbird is ready to thrive and bring joy to a home that appreciates both her spark and her heart.The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas.Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online.If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510.
