My story

Marley / Male / 1 year / 65 lbs / Lab Mix / Good with Dogs / Not Tested with Kids / No Cats Please / From Thunder Bay / Fostered in Toronto **Follow Marley’s journey on Instagram: @Apple.the.potato Marley is a big-hearted goofball with best-friend-for-life energy. Whether he's flopped beside you for belly rubs, resting his head on your shoulder during car rides, or wrapping you in his signature bear hugs, Marley is a lovebug through and through. He lives to be close to his people and thrives on connection. This playful guy is fetch-obsessed—he could chase balls all day if you let him! He also enjoys wrestling with his foster sibling, chewing on Benebones, solving puzzles, and cuddling up wherever you are (including peeking into the shower to check on you!). His expressive ears and soft eyes give away just how much love he has to give. Marley is crate trained and fully potty trained, and though he’s still learning his manners, he’s a food-motivated learner who’s eager to please. He’s working on commands like “sit” and “lay down,” and with consistency, he’s making great progress. Marley is strong and needs a confident handler—he can pull on leash, especially in new environments, but he settles with routine. Socially, Marley gets along well with other dogs, especially those who enjoy his playful energy. He'd do best with a dog-savvy companion (not a senior pup) who can help teach him dog etiquette. He’s not a fan of cats, and he can be protective with new people, so slow, structured introductions are key. Once he trusts you, he bonds deeply. Marley is looking for a home where he can be someone’s sidekick, ideally with access to a yard, daily fetch, and continued positive reinforcement training. He’d thrive with an adopter who understands sensitive, loyal dogs and can help him build confidence at his own pace. For the right match, Marley is absolutely perfect! If you’re interested in adopting Marley, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Marley’s adoption fee is $850. To learn more about our adoption fees and the adoption process, please visit our FAQs at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/about-us#about-faqs.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Marley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
