My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:6At just 8 months old and 44 pounds, Amazon is a playful, friendly Doberman mix who's ready to take on the world! This goofy adolescent has a zest for life, a love for other dogs, and a whole lot of heart. Amazon has been a star in shelter playgroups. He loves zooming around with his buddies in high-speed chase games, all tail wags and good vibes. He’s also doing great in his foster home, where he’s trustworthy uncrated and finds comfort in the company of other resident dogs. He’s a bit vocal sometimes (especially on leash), but he’s learning the ropes and making progress every day! As a young, working-breed pup, Amazon will thrive with an active adopter who’s ready to commit to training, structure, and daily mental and physical exercise. He would do well with another playful canine companion, or as a solo dog.
