Callie

My story

Callie is a lovely little 15 year old female who is snuggly and playful with anyone who will give her attention. She is inquisitive and loves trying to get into cupboards. Her foster mom thinks she likes to make her own music with the baby-locked cupboard doors, bapity-bapity-bapity, though she rarely talks or sings.Callie loves sitting with her foster mom in her recliner while mom reads or watches tv, particularly when mom pets her. She loves to be on the people bed, but needs the assistance of a step or box to get up on it. Callie is front declawed, and with her arthritis, she sometimes misses her balance and slides off the edge of the chair or bed and can't catch herself because without her claws she has no grip. Sometimes she will just sleep or rest in her own bed on the floor watching what goes on in her room.Callie is good eating her wet food that contains her gabapentin for her arthritis, even though the special Renal Diet food is not as interesting as the people food her foster mom refuses to let her have. Callie would love to have a quiet home with people who are around most of the time to pamper her and pet her a lot. Because Callie is sometimes unsteady with her balance and does not move quickly due to her age and arthritis, she would probably not be a good fit for an adopter who is also unsteady on their feet.Please visit https://felinerescue.org/all-cats/ to learn more about me and where I am located!
