My story

Hi! My name is Saero and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Terrier mix Age: 5 years 4 months approx.  Gender: Male Weight: 38lbs (16.7 kg)  Length: 60cm (head to butt) Height: 46cm (paws to top of my head) Current Location: S. Korea RESCUE STORY - I was found severely neglected in Yangjeon-dong, Gimje, with 1.7 kg of matted fur weighing me down. After persistent persuasion from some very nice people, my former owner signed a relinquishment agreement, allowing me to be rescued, thankfully! After medical checkup, I am now receiving additional medical treatment and warm care at my new center and am much happier.  TEMPERAMENT - I follow people around but a I can be a bit wary of people. I do love being around people but I am not really used to being touched or cuddled by people so I tend to step away if someone tries to touch me, I also don't like to be picked up. I would do well with people who have lots of love and care to share but respectful and understanding for my boundaries! ENERGY LEVEL - Low - I like to rest alone and I enjoy lying down. GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown. I haven’t met childern before so not sure how I will react.  Dogs – Yes, I love to play with other dogs that match my energy level but more of the type to rest alone and enjoy some alone time. See videos of me playing here and here with some buddies at the centre! Cats – Unknown.  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Good / Work in progress. I do well with minimal pulling. I may sniff intently and try to choose my own path, but gently guiding the leash brings me back in line! I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success! You can see some videos of me on a leash here and here House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2492259##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt SAERO, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
