This cream colored boy is as handsome as they come! Arthur just wants to be one with you, is that so hard to come by? He is a mellow boy who longs to please his people and be adored. He likes belly rubs & long walks on the beach where he can submerge his entire body in the water. Truly, he would thrive with a water loving family. HISTORY Arthur was found as a stray with 2 littermates in Richland, WA. Though we have searched for their rightful owners, we have not been unsuccessful in having anyone claim them as theirs. Since we don’t know their true DOB, we have designated 4/5/25 as their DOB. Arthur is located in Kennewick, in Eastern Washington. We share information about our dogs in postings based in other cities to improve their chances of finding a great forever home. He is well worth a road trip, and we encourage you to come and meet him before you decide he should join your family! SOCIALIZATION, TEMPERAMENT AND TRAINING Arthur has been doing great with the dogs in his foster home. He is currently fostered with a littermate, Brownie. He enjoys have a playful companion, and is learning how to be friends with confidence. He is fostered with a 3 year old toddler, and has been very gentle. He has not tried to jump on her, or push for attention from her, but he does enjoy when she gives him a pat or two. He is excited to meet anyone who is willing to love on him. He is very friendly with every person he meets. As mentioned before, this sweet boy LOVES water. If you take this boy home, you gotta get him a pool and watch him play in it– he is a joy! Arthur loves to be snuggled, play with other dogs, and lay in the nearest body of water or ray of sunshine. After a good round of playing with other dogs, or short walk, he is ready to nap, and hopefully somewhere close to his person. Arthur is just a baby, he is young and eager to learn how to be a good family dog. He'd love you to take him to school so he can learn ALL the skills he needs to be his best self. This would be beneficial for you as his pet parent(s) as well so that you can learn to communicate effectively with him, and teach him to be confident. He is still working on potty training, and crate training. It's important to remember: Arthur is a puppy, and PUPPIES ARE HARD WORK! This little boy is just getting started - he has sharp nails and needle teeth, and loves to pounce on shoes and grab hold and tug on anything that moves! As far as he’s concerned, anything and everything is for play. He still has everything to learn about being a civilized member of a mainly-human family. He will trip you up, piddle on your rug, and chew your stuff. Please don't apply to adopt Arthur unless you're sure you have the time, energy and desire to raise him right! HEALTH STATUS General info Arthur is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. He appears to be in good health. Once full grown, he will likely be somewhere in the 50-70 lbs range. HART does not support pediatric spay/neuter, so Arthur has not been sterilized. You will be required in terms of the adoption contract to have your pup sterilized by the time they are 6 months old. At your request, HART will refund you $100 upon receiving proof of sterilization. ADOPTION The adoption fee for Arthur is $425.
