My story

Meet Babby 1, a lovable little pup who’s curious about the world and can’t resist snuggling up with his favorite humans. He loves playing in the yard and then curling up for cuddles once playtime winds down. At 6 months old, Babby 1 is bright, full of energy, and brimming with a playful personality that charms everyone he meets!Though he may be a little shy at first, once Babby 1 feels at ease, his sweet, snuggly side shines through—he loves cuddles, snuggling on a bench or your lap, and quietly gazing up at you while soaking in all the love and attention.As a young pup, Babby 1 is still figuring out leash manners. He may pull, notice other dogs, or get excited by little critters on the trail, but with patience, guidance, and a bit of structure, he has everything he needs to grow into a confident, well-rounded buddy.Babby 1’s affectionate side continues to shine as he warms up—he loves curling up on your lap and giving those soulful puppy gazes that melt your heart. Easygoing with gentle energy, he’s ready to be your little companion.He’s met other pups at BARCS and can be a bit selective with doggie friends, so he’d like to meet any potential canine roommates first. Babby 1 would do best in a home without small animals.I`m a VIP because I`m still learning, and the shelter can be a tough place for dogs like me to shine. But I’ve got a whole team cheering me on!Here are a few things the staff and volunteers are helping me with:• Learning to channel my extra energy in fun, healthy ways• Practicing calm behavior when seeing things on walks that excite or scare me• Learning to make the right dog friends at the right paceIf you`re patient and open-hearted, I could be your best friend. I`m available for either adoption or foster—both will help me tremendously! When you visit, a staff member can walk you through what’s been working for me and how you can keep the progress going at home.
