Pippa C000-317 - Chino Hills Location

My story

The first thing you will notice about Pippa is the unique and attractive markings on her fur, but it is not just her looks that make her a special cat.  Pippa is one of the most affectionate cats we have ever known.  She loves being pet – a lot – and she especially loves belly rubs.  If you give up too soon, she will grab your hand with her paws to let you know to keep going.  She also exhibits a high level of purring.  Being around her is an absolute joy.  You would think that she would be the perfect lap cat except that she doesn’t seem to like sitting on laps.  Instead, I would call her a “next-to-your-lap” sitter, as she will cuddle really close, and even reach out to rest her paw in your lap, or maybe even make biscuits on your leg.  I’m guessing that with more time and familiarity, she has great potential to develop into an excellent lap cat.  So far, Pippa has not shown much interest in traditional cat toys (like dangling feathers, fuzzy mice, or squishy balls), but she seems to enjoy tussling with a small rug (bathroom sized), kicking at it with her feet.  I encourage her new family to experiment with other entertainments – since Pippa is not your run-of-the-mill cat, she’s bound to have unusual tastes in toys.  Another way that Pippa stands out in her behavior: she likes to scoop up water from her drinking bowl with her paw and sip it that way.  And sometimes when she munches on her dry food, she will make soft happy mews and chirps while doing it.  She’s elite!
