My story

Meet Muffin! A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier currently living in Walnut Creek, CA, whose heart is as big as her joyful, brown-and-white smile. Muffin is still in the early chapters of her life, but she’s already proving herself to be a loyal companion, an adventure enthusiast, and a champion snuggler all rolled into one! Muffin wakes up ready to greet the day with a tail-wag and a morning stroll. She’s the kind of dog who will keep pace with you on a hike, offer moral support while you answer emails, and still have energy left for a spirited game of tug-of-war in the afternoon. She’s smart, already mastering “sit,” “stay,” and “leave it”, and her eagerness to please makes her a quick study in her current five-week private training program. Her trainer reports she’s making great progress in leash skills and social manners, setting her up to be a wonderful partner for an active family! Muffin is a social butterfly with big dogs and familiar canine friends, romping and playing with enthusiasm. She’s learning how to navigate her feelings around small dogs, especially after an altercation with one, and she’s working hard with her trainer to respond more calmly. She thrives in a caring environment where her guardians understand high-energy breeds and are committed to continuing her positive reinforcement training. She’s spayed, microchipped, house-trained, and crate-trained, a true ready-to-love package! While she doesn’t yet have much experience with cats, she’s curious and adaptable. With her big heart, loyalty, and quick bond with her people, Muffin will be happiest in a home with a fenced yard, plenty of activity, and humans who enjoy both outdoor adventures and couch cuddles. Muffin is more than just a beautiful face, she’s a co-pilot for life’s adventures, a warm presence on chilly nights, and a reminder that joy is best when shared.
